One QuickBooks entry per Shopify payout. The deposit matches to the cent.
Levelrow posts each Shopify Payments payout into QuickBooks Online as a single journal entry, split to your own accounts: sales, shipping, tax, discounts, refunds, gift cards, tips and fees. For every payout it shows deposit minus entry, and names any cent that does not match.
$29 a month after a 14-day trial, billed by Shopify. QuickBooks Online, US companies, USD. Nothing posts until you confirm the account map.
Connect, confirm the map, post
Three steps on the first day. After that, Levelrow checks for new payouts every hour and posts them in order.
Sign in to QuickBooks Online
Pick the bank account your payouts land in. Levelrow reads your chart of accounts; it writes nothing yet. Multi-currency companies are told so up front instead of getting wrong entries.

Confirm one account per line type
Levelrow lists the line types found in your last 60 days of payouts with a suggested account from your own chart. You confirm or change each one. Nothing is assumed, and nothing posts to an account you did not choose.

One journal entry per payout
The entry's bank line equals the payout, so your bank feed suggests the match and you confirm it. Change the map later and repost only the payouts it affects; Levelrow removes its own entries and touches nothing else.

When it does not close, you see why
Shopify sends over a hundred transaction types and documents none of them. Levelrow never guesses an account for one it has not seen. It posts the rest of the payout, shows the gap, and asks you once.
- The bank line is short by exactly the unclassified amount, and the page says so.
- Choose an account and Levelrow reposts every payout that carried that type.
- Rounding of a few cents can be accepted with one click, recorded with your name.

What Levelrow does not do
The scope is narrow on purpose. If one of these is what you need, this is not the right tool yet.
No entry per order
Levelrow posts one summarised entry per payout. Order-level invoices or sales receipts are not created.
Not instant
Shopify has no payout event to listen to. Levelrow checks every hour and tells you when it last checked and when it will check next.
QuickBooks Online only, US, USD
Xero, multi-currency companies and non-US tax are not supported in this version. A company that does not fit is refused at connection, with the reason.
No customer data
Levelrow reads order amounts and tax, never names, addresses, emails or phone numbers. It writes nothing back to Shopify.
Priced by orders a month
Metered on orders in your Shopify Payments payouts. Refunds do not count. Above your tier, posting continues and the app asks you to move up.

Where does sales tax go?
To the liability account you choose, as a line on the journal entry. A US QuickBooks company does not accept tax codes on journal entries, so the sales tax centre is not updated by Levelrow; tax you collected and tax Shopify collected on your behalf are kept in separate accounts.
I already have a connector running. What happens?
Keep it on until your first Levelrow month ties to the bank, then turn it off for that month onward. Levelrow posts its own entries with its own memo and never edits entries it did not create, but two tools posting the same month doubles income until one is off.
What does Levelrow read from Shopify?
Payouts and their transactions, and order amounts: line totals, shipping, tax, discounts, refunds, tips, duties, gift cards and fees. Never customer names, addresses, emails or phone numbers. It does not write to Shopify.
What if I disconnect QuickBooks or uninstall?
Disconnecting pauses posting and revokes Levelrow's access; payouts queue and post in order when you reconnect. Uninstalling keeps your map and history for 30 days, then deletes them. Journal entries already in QuickBooks are never deleted.
Can I change an account after entries are posted?
Yes. Saving the map makes a new version. Payouts from then on use it; for earlier payouts you choose a date, and Levelrow removes and reposts only the entries in that range.
