Levelrow help
Matching the bank feed
Levelrow posts the journal entry. You review the corresponding bank transaction and confirm its match in QuickBooks.
Check the payout first
- Open the payout in Levelrow and check its date, deposit amount and journal entry number.
- Confirm that an entry has been posted and the difference is $0.00. Resolve an unclassified amount before matching. An accepted rounding difference remains on the original entry unless you post a rounding line.
- Check that the deposit account in Levelrow is the bank account whose feed you are reviewing.
Match the existing entry in QuickBooks
Open the bank transactions for that account and find the Shopify deposit. Review QuickBooks’ suggested match, or search for the existing journal entry using its amount and date. Check the entry number against Levelrow before confirming.
Use the existing entry when it represents the deposit. Adding a second record for the same deposit can duplicate it in your books. QuickBooks’ current controls are described in Intuit’s bank transaction matching guide.
If no match appears
- Check the bank account, amount and date. The date your bank shows may differ from the date Shopify issued the payout.
- Look at the payout’s current state in Levelrow. An unposted entry cannot be matched.
- Check whether the entry was already matched, or was replaced by a repost. Use the current entry shown on the payout.
After a repost
Reposting deletes the old Levelrow entry and creates a replacement. A match to the old entry is released; review and match the replacement in QuickBooks.
PayPal, Klarna and other gateways
Gateway entries use clearing accounts and summarise a month. Their bank settlements can include fees and cover a different period. Use the gateway’s statement to reconcile those settlements; Shopify does not provide Levelrow with those fees or settlement details.
For the entry itself, see how posting works. If an amount still differs, contact support with the payout date, entry number and difference.
