After the connector change

The Shopify connector changed. Your books don't have to.

Intuit replaced its OneSaas-based Shopify connector with a rebuilt one in 2026. For many stores the move left a queue of transactions to review and accounts they didn't create. If what you need is each Shopify payout to match the deposit in your bank feed, there is a simpler shape for the books.

What changed

Intuit's migration article says the new connectors import individual transactions instead of a summary sales receipt per payout period, and sync every few hours. On its App Store listing since August, reviewers describe the same few problems:

  • Sync stopped after the migration, or the app reports that the account was already migrated and won't open.
  • It created its own income, fee and tax accounts instead of using the chart of accounts the bookkeeper already had.
  • Orders land as sales receipts, with no option for invoices, and SKU mapping is gone.
  • Transactions wait for review until someone adds a tax code or a product match to each one.

Post the payout, not every order

Shopify pays out a net amount: sales, shipping and tax, minus refunds, discounts and fees. Levelrow posts each Shopify Payments payout to QuickBooks Online as one journal entry, using the account you chose for each line type. The bank line on the entry equals the payout, so your bank feed suggests the match and you confirm it.

If a payout contains something that has no account yet, Levelrow leaves it out of the entry and shows the difference on that payout. Choose an account for that payout only, or add the type to your map and repost the payouts it affects. Levelrow checks for new payouts every hour.

What it does not do

  • No order-level invoices or sales receipts. If your client needs each order in QuickBooks, a per-order connector is the right tool.
  • No inventory, SKU or cost of goods sync.
  • QuickBooks Online only, US companies in USD. Xero, multi-currency companies and non-US tax are not supported in this version.
  • Sales tax goes to the liability account you choose. A US QuickBooks company doesn't accept tax codes on journal entries, so the sales tax centre is not updated.

Switching without double-counting

Do not let both connectors post transactions for the same dates. Before posting with Levelrow, check the existing QuickBooks entries with your bookkeeper and stop the old connector from posting overlapping dates. Levelrow only removes or reposts entries it created; turning off another connector does not remove its existing entries.

Price and availability

Core is $29 a month for up to 300 orders, Plus $59 for up to 1,500, Scale $99 for up to 5,000, each with a 14-day trial and billed through Shopify. Levelrow is in Shopify's app review now.
